Focus Adjustments & Motion

Previous: Effects
Next: Knockouts

Description: Digital image editing may be used to reduce or enhance the sharpness of an image, to create a soft or out-of-focus look or to add motion effects.

Cost Considerations: Reducing sharpness and adding motion are routine procedures. Increasing the sharpness of a severely out-of-focus image is a challenge. If technical solutions are unavailable, sharpening an image sometimes may be accomplished by digitally "grafting" pieces of sharp areas onto soft areas -- rebuilding the image with better materials. This can be a complex process. Price range: $15-$75/high res image (volume rates available).
